Mobile ticket
The museum is open daily from 9:00 to 17:00 (last admission at 16:00) and is closed on Mondays. Each day is divided into three admission time slots: 9:00–11:00, 11:00–13:30, and 13:30–16:00. On the day of the visit, visitors must present their original passport used for the reservation along with everyone's ticket QR Code, and enter through the North Gate visitor entrance during the reserved time slot. Visitors without a reservation, whose passport information does not match, or who miss their reserved time slot will not be permitted to enter.PLEASE GO TO MUSEUM FIRST! SINCE IF YOU ARE LATE THE MUSEUM WILL NOT LET YOU GO INTO IT! After the museum then go to visit the Tiananmen Square by the QR code of the museum.
The ticket is non-changeable and non-refundable 24 hours before the visit day!!!
The travelers with Chinese ID or passport can't be accepted. It will caused you can't reserve successfully and can't be allowed to enter!

1.00We do know this is for pre-booking for entrance only. But you should elaborate of things like long wait lines, series of very tight security checks, etc. Keeping customers in the dark about those cause difficulties. If we know in advance, we could be more prepared for it.

4.00Tiananmen square is a must in Bejing. Very impressive. The museum gives a great overview of the different time periods in Chinese history. I especially like the exhibition of the flags and the costumes. Be aware that there are quite long lines to enter the square. So come early enough! And take water with you. The process with the ticket is simple. A big plus booking through Viator: on the official sites everything was already completely booked but on Viator you could still get the tickets.

1.00messaged to see if the tickets had been booked, no reply, night before booking got an email that it had been cancelled. Hopefully can get it refunded as it was the company that cancelled not us

1.00To say this agency is unprofessional is to give them too much credit. Our reservation to the national museum and Tian Meng square was confirmed immediately. When the tickets didn’t arrive within 24 hours, I repeatedly reached out to the tour operator, without a response. That morning, I received a cancellation notice from the agency - without any explanation. In fairness, the agency did issue a full refund, but it was my family’s last day in Beijing and because of the last minute cancellation, we were unable to book tickets to any other sights without a reservation in advance. What a shame.

1.00My worst experience! I couldn’t get ticket at the gate and at the last minute, I received a message from viator that my booking was canceled. This is really frustrating and the reliability of Viator itself was damaged a lot. This was the worst case that I have experienced. I think the tour agency, named “China Pleasure Tour Co. Ltd (Reg # 91110105763505912M at Beijing Municipal AIC Enterprise Registry) should be expelled from Aviator platform. No recommendation of this tour!

5.00Great museum, make sure to book a 0900 slot and be there for 0900 as the ancient China section (which is the best part) gets very busy and will have queues for entry. Loads of other sections definitely worth visiting in the museum which is very modern inside.
