We chose the formula snorkeling and meal. Departing from Hoi An there were a multitude of boats. Welcoming was not really great! You feel like cattle. The crossing takes about 35 min at high speed. We disembark in port for 45 min to do nothing except attend the ballet of the boats arriving and departing. Finally we take the boat back to admire the fish. On site there are already some boats and many people with vests floating. From the boat you can't see the bottom! The launch is not easy and we have no help. Once you're in very cloudy water, you can't see anything! You have to go to the coast to hope to see a fish. What a disappointment! After 45 min we left for lunch. The worst meal of my vacation. We're really mistaken for pigeons. Rest on the beach on dubious deckchairs and return. WOW!

The boat trip and our experience on the island was generally great. Corals, fish and starfish were good. The trip to get to the boat was strange. As the driver didn't speak English nor used app to translate for us, we had no idea where we stopped, when somehow we stopped at a jem and sculpture shop, which was not in the planned schedule.

Boat was indeed fast. Tour guide was pleasant and helpful but did not provide much information about what we were seeing. He spent most of his time counting heads (not a bad thing!). What they don’t tell not tell you is the snorkelling is from the boat not the beach. There are only small ladders to climb up on the back, which I found difficult to do (the younger ones had less difficulty). Visibility was not good. Lunch was pretty good for a remote island. In my view, best thing was time at the beautiful beach at the end of the tour!

The boat trip and lunch were really good. Unfortunately we were not aware that they didn’t not have snorkel equipment for our child so she couldn’t do that part which was really disappointing. This needs to be advertised or advised when booking for children. Then the tour guide tried giving our group of 30 a choice between longer swimming at the beach and visiting a temple- and asked us to make a decision as a group. Which was never going to please everyone. Perhaps next time the guide could make the decision for the group.

The boat ride was fun and spending time on the lovely beach after lunch was nice. Snorkeling was very disappointing , not much to see and there were stingers in the water. Marine museum was also ordinary. Old well was nice to cool down at. Very busy. Lunch was ok, but nothing special. We didn’t receive water as stated in itenary.

What should have been a fun outing, it was actually disappointing. The boat we were going on was dirty. The staff were unkind. Something we have not experienced before in Vietnam. The staff smoked on board at the stops they lay on the benches and hated it if you wanted to pass. That was pretty annoying. The snorkeling was good, good materials were available. However, the stairs of the boat we had were very small. Several people opened themselves to sharp parts of the stairs. Was a shame.

What a great day!! Snorkelling was fun, I had my waterproof action camera and got super clear images of the colourful coral. (It wasn't quite as clear for me as I couldn't wear my glasses with the snorkelling goggles) so when I was able to replay the footage from the camera I was over the moon!! The lunch was delicious and then we saw the cutest group of little monkeys come out to play. Our guide "Miss Banana" was very funny and had us laughing all day but also taught us about the local conservation efforts on Cham Islands.
