Come experience Byron's original stand up paddle board tour with our relaxing adventure down the beautiful Brunswick River in the Cape Byron Marine Park. The tour goes for 1.5 - 2 hrs (allow 3 hrs incl travel time to & from Byron). NOTE: we're not doing pick ups currently as a COVID safety measure.
Get ready to soak in the peacefulness of the surroundings while learning/experiencing the fun of SUP. You'll feel far away from the hustle immersed in nature.
Start times vary due to tides, please call for details on your preferred day.
As a small family business we go the extra mile for you, literally rolling out the red carpet for when you enter the water. We provide cold water on tour, take photos & even provide homemade snacks back on land (& they seem to get as much praise in reviews as the tour!).
Private tours also available for a wider range of ages & abilities.

What To Expect
Byron Stand Up Paddle
After making your own way to our starting point near Brunswick Heads… Our 2 hr tour starts with a lesson; firstly on land (as most customers are new to SUP) before we head off on our relaxing adventure down the beautiful Brunswick River in the Cape Byron Marine Park. Groups are small (max 8) to be able to really soak in the peacefulness. You'll feel far away from the hustle & bustle immersed in nature. We'll share information about what we see & point out wildlife along the way. After a brief stop for some water (supplied), we head off again down the tunnel of trees where mother nature does all the talking. On our return, there'll be refreshing cold water & homemade snacks. Here, most of our customers are surprised they're still dry & comment "It was easier than I expected!" Later, we’ll send you a link to your free photos. Our guide Ricky deserves special recognition. His knowledge of the area and wildlife was impressive, but what really stood out was how he made everyone feel completely safe and at ease. Even if you’re a beginner, Ricky has a way of breaking things down that makes it feel easy and accessible. His expertise and calm demeanor allowed us to relax fully into the experience. I highly recommend this tour to anyone looking for something unique. It’s not just another outdoor activity—it’s a special nature experience that stays with you long after you’ve left the water. 5.00Our family had an outstanding experience with Byron Standup Paddle. Ricky was exceptionally knowledgeable about the area, sharing fascinating commentary on the local wildlife and natural surroundings. He took great care of us by ensuring our safety on the water (especially as we were novices) and providing water and snacks in the middle and at the end. Definitely don’t miss if you’re visiting the area.

We went as a family of 5 and had just the best time paddling down the river, seeing all the things, and having Ricky tells us about the area. The break in the middle of the paddle was nice, and his homemade snacks after were just amazing. Can't recommend this enough! Don't miss out on this!

Ricky’s ‘SUP 101’ was excellent - a few simple, easy to understand instructions were a great start to a really memorable, enjoyable morning on the river. Homemade, healthy treats for morning tea at the end of the paddle were a delicious finishing touch. Such a great morning, I would highly recommend.
