Starting at the Brewing Heritage Trail Sign at Findlay Market, this brewing history and architecture tour walks the western portion of the Brewery District, marveling at the many remaining 19th and early 20th century structures and sharing stories of those who built or doomed these brewing empires during beer’s industrial revolution.
Tours include a visit into the subterranean lager cellars of the historic (non-operating) Jackson Brewery, as well as outdoor visitation to the Sohn/Mohawk Brewery, several Christian Moerlein sites, and the location of the Bellevue Incline. The Jackson Brewery cellars were excavated from the hillside under the brewery, so we enter from street level and there are no stairs to climb going in or out, making these cellars very accessible and the total walking distance of this tour is less than a mile.
At the tour conclusion, we stop in at a neighborhood taproom for a pint of local beer, included with each ticket!

The tour guides were great, it would have been better if they had a “Bullhorn” because of the traffic. Overall, our experience was Great. Thanks to Jack and Rory.

This was a great tour. There were only 2 couples and that made it special. Plus we had a great tour guide. The rain didn’t even bother us! Haha Would definitely take the tour again. Well worth it!

Walking tour in the area around Findlay Market. Stops at one former brewery and ends with a beverage at a local brewery. Most of the tour is spent viewing area around Findlay Market. Overall distance walked over 2 hours was less than 1 mile.

About 45 mins of info stretched into 2 hours. Spent way too much time standing in one place listening to over-dramatized accounts of iffy information. Husband/wife combo of tour guides was awkward at times with them either correcting each other, trying to fill info the other one hadn't yet, or just plain taking at the same time. Best to just get the free Brewing Heritage Tour app and do it yourself. Then you can go to Ghost Baby in downtown Cincy and have a drink inside a giant lager storage bunker instead of the dilapidated one on this tour.

Our guide Lisa led us on a great tour of the history of brewing in Cincinnati, including a visit to lager tunnels and a current brewery. She has extensive historical knowledge of brewing as well as of Cincinnati. Definitely recommend this tour.

Lisa was our tour guide and she provided a highly detailed and personal tour. This tour provided a history of the brewery business in OTR, and what it was like for the residents to live and work in there. Lisa kept us engaged and used humor to lighten the mood and heighten our interest. Thank you Lisa!
