5.00I can’t believe I didn’t do this sooner! My friends’ birthday was coming up and I thought taking a food tour to celebrate would be much more fun than just going out to an individual restaurant like we usually do. And it couldn’t have been a better decision. We took the North Berkeley Tour and Justin was our guide (who I very highly recommend). Not only was he incredibly knowledgeable about the history of all the delicious food we enjoyed, but he was also so personable and easy to talk to. It really felt like we were getting an insider’s view of the area. And of course, the selection of food we had was diverse and amazing too (all of it). The best advice I can give to someone who would like to book this tour is to bring your appetite because you will not be hungry when it’s over. In fact, by the time we got to our last stop for cupcakes, we were all so full that we just took them to go. I’m still amazed that we were able to visit so many different places in such a short distance. Many of the foods I tried were new to me but I think it’s safe to say I’ve now discovered some new favorites and will definitely be back. Oh, and for those who like to shop, we passed a few cute places along the way too. This really was a fun experience and a wonderful way to spend the day!

5.00Great tour. We often do food tours when we travel. We find it a great way to check out places we may not find on our own. From the pizza to pastrami sandwiches to the cupcakes, this was a perfect way to explore Nirth Berkley.

5.00This was such a great experience. We are Bay Area locals and we went on the North Berkeley Tour. Rebecca was our fabulous guide. The food itself was above and beyond what we expected. Everything was arranged ahead of time and it was a smooth experience at each place. Delicious food, things I probably would not have tried or known about without our guide. I loved hearing about the history and people behind the food as well. We are planning on exploring the area many more times in the coming months. All around fantastic experience!! Highly recommend for locals or visitors.

5.00Had a FANTASTIC time with our tour guide, Carrie, on the Berkeley Gourmet Ghetto Excursion. I went to school at Cal, but didn't explore this area much and learned a lot with Carrie! The tour is around a few blocks, but there's a lot to see and Carrie answered all our questions in addition to prepping all the stops so that they were ready to serve us food when we arrived. Definitely come hungry - I was stuffed by the end of the tour!
You won't regret this experience!

5.00I had such a great time doing this food tour! Would highly recommend the North Berkeley Gourmet Ghetto tour. If you can get Carrie as your guide, even better! This was such a great experience and the food was all amazing. The stops were all great (Berkeley is a great place to walk around overall) and loved the historical/learning aspect of the whole thing.
