The One Tour You Shouldn't Miss in Taipei
If it’s your first time in Taipei and not sure where to begin — this ride is where you start.
We’re the team behind Surcle — a group of bike lovers, designers, and curious locals who believe the best way to feel a city is to ride through it.
This isn’t a typical bike tour. It's a thoughtfully designed experience that gives you an insider’s view of the city: from bustling markets to quiet alleys, neighborhood temples to local cafés, you’ll see how Taipei wakes up, eats, and flows through the day.
We start with a Taiwanese breakfast, then glide through hidden backstreets and cultural spots, sharing the stories behind the places we visit. It’s a slow, immersive journey full of small surprises—connecting you with the heartbeat of Taipei.
Perfect for design lovers, food explorers, slow travelers, and anyone who wants to understand Taipei beyond the postcard version.
Small group only. Premium E-bike and gear — no sweat, just pure adventure.

Traditional Taiwanese Breakfast A classic way to start the day in Taiwan. Fresh soy milk served with crispy youtiao (fried dough), savory dan bing (egg crepes), or flaky shaobing (flatbread). Simple, satisfying, and full of local flavor.
A cozy café that roasts its own beans. We’ll taste a few different kinds of coffee, each made from a different bean to highlight unique flavors. The barista, who’s also a certified coffee judge, will share more about the beans, roasting process, and flavor notes.

So much fun! Teenage son and I loved cruising around Taipei with Tommy. Tons of varied stops, fantastic food, real talk about life, politics, and history of Taiwan. The ebikes are sleek and easy, a bit of riding on busy streets but felt ok w helmets. Cannot recommend more highly!

This is a very customized tour by a very knowledgeable local guide. The E-bike was state of the art custom designed and simple to use. The tour passed many of the iconic sites in Taipei but stops were also made at the local markets hidden off the beaten track local restaurants (breakfast and lunch) and historical sites. Tommy, the guide really knows his history of the island and enthusiastically shares his knowledge and experience of living and travelling in Taipei. I would highly recommend the tour to anyone that enjoys a delightful bike ride and insiders look into the depths of Taipei!

Fantastic tour with great bikes. This is a great way to see the city and to sample some local food and coffee. You definitely won’t go hungry. Tommy knowledge, enthusiasm and energy was infectious. He explained the history of Taiwan as we pedalled through some lovely districts of Taiwan. The route was well thought out avoiding the very busy roads. Nothing was too much trouble and we were lucky enough to have a few extra stops. Totally exceeded expectations 10/10. Thanks Tommy.

What a great way to discover Taipei. An ideal cycling city and with Tommy’s self-designed electric bikes (also our guide) it was a pleasure to do. Tommy knows how to captivate us with the stories about the history of Taiwan and Taipei. A 5-hour city tour in which a lot is discovered (by us) and told. Breakfast and lunch are included, so you also get what is eaten here. This is something you would never do otherwise, but it was fun to experience and taste. Tommy did the tour in a relaxed way and because the city is quite compact we could see a lot. In short, do not hesitate but do. Highly recommended.

This easy bike tour was definitely one of the best parts of my Taiwan visit. The description of being great for designer-lovers, foodies, and off-the-beaten-path appreciators was spot-on. I loved seeing everyday life from a local's perspective, going through different neighborhoods, seeing the works of rising artists, learning about architecture and history as it relates to contemporary life, and trying delicious foods. All of the food I tried was worth writing home about: southern style savory pancake, light roast coffee, fresh fruit, noodle soup with chopped century egg. The hilltop view was a perfect rejuvenating spot. Tony is your in-the-know, hip friend showing you around to everything cool that isn't crowded. I'm a casual commuter cyclist, and the Surcle e-bike was a luxurious ride – it proved to be nimble and very easy to ride even through busy, narrow, market streets.

Tommy was a great guide. Stopping at key places and offering valuable information about each point of interest. The food was truly local Taiwanese and tasted great. Recommended for anyone who wants to see the “real” Taipei.

Thank you Tommy for a wonderful day! It was so exciting to see the city this way. The Ebikes were super comfortable and easy to ride and the four of us were well taken care of (there will be busy streets) with several surprises along the way. My teen boys enjoyed the experience of discovering new tastes and sights with Tommy. He will be your good friend by the end of the day and you can tell he truly enjoys every minute of showing us around. I would highly highly recommend !!!

What a fantastic tour. My wife and I had a wonderful day with Tommy, who is delightful, friendly and knowledgeable. We got along from the outset, and he looked after us all the way though this fascinating tour of Taipei. Fabulous food, great company and the e-bikes are the best way to experience it all. Thanks Tommy. Gretel & Tony
