  Kei was a wonderful tour guide. He took us to to eat at a small diner with great food. The vehicle was clean and very comfortable. We wanted to have a personal experience and my family enjoy our time in Beppu . Got to see hell and a few other places. We had a great time if you want a one on one personal experience go with Kei.

  I recently had the pleasure of experiencing a tour led by Kei, an exceptional guide who truly went above and beyond to ensure our trip was everything we hoped for and more. From the moment we booked, he was actively engaged, reaching out to us days before the tour to understand our interests and expectations. On the day of the tour, we made a last-minute change to our itinerary. Kei handled the situation with remarkable flexibility and professionalism. He quickly adapted the schedule to accommodate our request without missing a beat. Throughout the tour, he maintained a perfect pace, ensuring we had ample time to explore each site while also covering all the locations we had expressed interest in. I highly recommend him. If you’re looking for a tour guide who is dedicated, responsive, and truly passionate about what he does, look no further. This tour was a highlight of our trip, and it was all thanks to his exceptional service!

• Excellent tour with Kyushu Immersion

  We wanted to use this company after reading excellent reviews of Keita who owns Kyushu. He unfortunately acquired another customer before we committed so he assigned us Ayu. No offense, Kei, but we were very happy you did. She was absolutely wonderful. She was very bubbly, always smiling, extremely friendly and spoke excellent English. She shared a picture of her son with us, so cute, and was interested in our families. She interpreted so well during our tea ceremony and made sure we knew everything that was said and what we had to do. She shared dozens of pictures of us enjoying our time with her. She was an excellent guide and made us want to go back to Beppu. We all really loved that area and Ayu and would love to see her again if we are ever in Beppu in the future. We highly recommend her and Kyushu Immersion.

  Our tour guide, Ayu, was great! We were able to see all the Hell holes, do some shopping and enjoy a great lunch with her guidance. Ayu is personable, warm and attentive.

• Wonderful 2 day tour of Usuki and. Beppu

  We hired Kei for 2 days for the Beppu day tour and the Discover Usuki tour. Kei arranged the days so that we would be touring the areas during the less crowded times and it worked perfectly. He picked us up at the ferry terminal with some local snacks to try (delicious!) to start the day. Being a Sunday, we headed to Usuki for the first day since the Beppu Hells would likely be more crowded. It was so quiet and peaceful walking through the old Samurai town. It was quite fascinating and beautiful. Highly recommend this tour to immerse yourself in an area where it feels like going back in time in Japan. Upon our request, Kei arranged for us to have a fugu meal at a local restaurant. One bucket list item completed! He then drove us to see the carved Buddhas, then monkey mountain. Both stops were well worth the visit! Kei was very informative and considerate to make sure we were enjoying our tour. The next day we went to see highlights of the Beppu Hell pools. He had more local snacks for us to try…Yummm! Another fantastic day seeing three of the pools. We also had a walking tour of the back streets of Beppu and leaned how all the geothermal activity was being used. Very interesting…you had the option of even steaming your feet! We asked to eat udon for lunch and we stopped at a delicious udon place, that even my picky raised-in-Japan mother loved. Afterwards, we went up to a fantastic view of Beppu that tourists are not likely to see. And with some extra time, my boyfriend wanted to buy tools and Kei was able accommodate us. Kei had been communicating with me before the trip to ensure the tour was catered to our interests. The biggest concern was that my mother was in a wheelchair. He made sure that everywhere we went, it was wheelchair accessible. He had a little stool for her to help her step into the vehicle too. That was perfect. • Great family day trip in Beppu

  Had a great experience on this private tour- kei was super accomodating with young kids (age 6/9) as he also has kids. He also speaks great english. Kei picked us up promptly from the hotel, his car was quite spacious, he brought cold drinks since the temperature was over 30C that day. We went to the monkey park and 3 of the ‘hells’ as well as a very local place for lunch. We ended with an observatory look out for great pictures in the afternoon before a drop off back at the hotel. It was a memorable day and im so glad we booked with him.

  Me and my husband had a wonderful time here in Beppu with our fantastic guide Ayu. She picked us up at the hotel and showed us the most beautiful and interesting Hells in Beppu and Kannawa with a tour of scenic sites and steams all over the narrow streets of the district. We also enjoyed a tasty lunch together made with steam cooked by ourselves, it was so funny and unique! Our guide Ayu was so kind and prepared, we recommend this tour and Mr Keita’s organization, very professional and attentive to our needs and request.   Keita Hirose in Beppu is the best we have ever had… We are currently on the NCL spirit 6/25/25 sailing and in planning our trip, there was limited information for the different ports. We feel very lucky to have seen Keita mentioned in a post. He did an excellent job in pre-planing our day. I’ve never had anyone more detailed and concerned with trying to plan the best day ever. Before we met at the dock we felt as if he was a friend and by the end of the day it felt more like he was family. Our daughter is 16 and he did a great job of keeping her involved all day as well. When people ask what we miss about japan keita will be on our list, but luckily with today’s technology we will be able to stay in touch.
