We heard mixed reviews about the Fish Fry so decided to try it for ourselves. It wasnt the cheapest night out, but it was a very enjoyable evening. As we would be having a couple of drinks, we chose to be picked up from our hotel rather than drive ourselves. It was a full bus with everyone looking forward to the famous fish fry. The owners of the property go out fishing during the day and prepare their catch for the evening meal. We sat down on long tables which encouraged conversations, close to the edge of a cliff where we observed a lovelu=y sunset over the ocean. The entertainment started with some local ladies doing traditional dances, followed by a live singer. When the dinner arrived, the fish was all deep fried, not sure if you could get grilled fish or not, and it was delicious, and plentiful. They call the fish Trumpeter, but in West Australia it is better known as Red Emperor, a beautiful fish. The fish was served with a large variety of salad dishes, including a couple of island dishes. No chips, but we didnt miss them, The food was simply delightful. We went back several times for more fish and there was still some leftover when we left. The trip home was fun with a bus load of friendly people who generally all enjoyed themselves. Was it worth the $95 per person? Probably not, but would we do it again? YES! The overall experience made it worthwhile.

Lovely night. Had to do with Baunti as Pinetree were full. It was fun and a lively night. Bong the singer was amazing and the Local Beauties were good too! Bring $10 cash could have been $20 not sure, to support the young girls do the school spec, we weren’t informed about this prior. Food was plentiful and amazing! This is about the views and experience!

A large group but excellently catered for,. Plenty of seating but be advised it’s BYO though they run a bar with very good prices. We had a singer who was excellent and did a fabulous job entertaining the crowd even had us up dancing and singing. They had four young girls who performed Tahitian dances. They entertained the crowd well. The meal was delicious and seconds/thirds were offered. Also came with a delicious desert. We were able to watch the sunset. Highly recommended to one and all

Unfortunately the weather was not the best for this event. However we were not impressed by the meal. We got 2 small pieces of fish and salads, such as you could get anywhere else. Mine was okay but my partners was cold and dried out. Sure you could go back for seconds. The dessert was a coconut custard pie, not very appealing. No chips. The highlight of the evening was the singer. Otherwise I would not recommend it. Perhaps I was prejudiced as I had attended a fish fry years previously which was far better.

Better than expected. The fish was fresh and excellent quality with thin batter. Salads were good as well with some Pacifica dishes also offered for variety. The venue is covered but open air. The local musician gave a pleasant musical backdrop with some interesting stories about his family of Pitcairners. This was followed by a hula dance ensemble of young women from the island. All in all a pleasant experience.

Enjoyed the food & show but unfortunately the weather had turn bad and the outdoor dining experience which was a major part of this whole experience had to be cancelled which was an unfortunate disappointment for us but obviously no fault of Baunti Tours which kept us up to date on whether it was going ahead outdoors or indoors. Baunti Tours did supply us with an excellent orientation tour of the island on our first day of our stay on Norfolk Island, very happy.
