During this tour, Clémence, your epicurean guide, will reveal the many secrets of the Basque Country, famous for its culinary traditions.
Ham, Cheese, Peppers, cakes, Liqueurs… you will discover (…and taste!) the many reasons why the Basque Country plays a strong role in the French Culinary Heritage!
During this tasty journey, you will be crossing small villages classified amongst the most beautiful of France! You will also have the opportunity to visit a Basque Shepheard farm and discover his job, his sheeps and of course...his cheese!

What To Expect
Biarritz
Departure from Biarritz, in front of the Cité de l'Océan. We will cross the french Basque Countryside aboard our VW Combi, to rich our first stop. During this time, your guide will introduce you to the Basque Country culture and traditions.
Sare
We will make a first stop in the charming village of Sare, located at the spanish border. You will discover our tradition of Kintoa ham and delicatessen products (chorizo, lomo, saucisson and so on…), followed by a tasting.

5.00The tour is simply perfect! Klem is an excellent guide, very knowledgeable and full of love to her country, Basque. With her we almost sank into the very warm atmosphere of Basque Country, meeting people, seeing various animals - pigs, goats, wild basque horses, sheep, testing food and wine, exploring cosy basque villages and enjoying beautiful landscapes! We learnt a lot about Basque history, nature, culture, sports, etc. By the end of the trip we completely fell in love with the places we visited and with the people we met! I definitely recommend this tour to everyone who's interested in Basque Country life and wants to have fun!

5.00This is one of the best tours we’ve ever done. Clemence was fantastic. She had so much knowledge about the area that she shared, and she was particularly helpful and considerate with my 90-year-old mother, who has some physical limitations. I would highly recommend this tour. We got to taste wonderful foods and see so much of the Basque country that we wouldn’t know to look for by ourselves.

5.00After completing a Basque Villages Roadtrip, we completed a second tour, the Txiki Gourmet Tour. A wonderful afternoon to meet people who love their job, their products and share (and taste) their daily life. And this is always accompanied by Aurélie and Clémence who make these moments even more pleasant thanks to their kindness, their passion and the links forged with local producers. Change of scenery and moments that I advise you to experience during your stay in the Basque country
