Known as the ‘Gateway to the Mekong’, Ben Tre Province showcases the beauty of the famous Mekong Delta in the first 90km south of Ho Chi Minh City. The Ben Tre Mekong Delta Full Day Tour takes you to the languid backwaters of this stunning province, where verdant greenery fans out from the shores of the Mekong River and its tributaries. Relax on a local rowing boat as we drift serenely through placid waters lying beneath high-rising coconut trees; truly a picture of paradise.
We will also visit the various handicraft villages around Ben Tre and witness the graft of workers and they make hundreds of objects out of the province’s iconic symbol, the coconut, as well as various other crafts like pottery and weaving. We see some of the fruit orchards for which the region gets its luxuriant affiliation with tropical fruit, as well as the thick jungle where many battles were fought during the American War.

This is by FAR the best way to tour the Mekong delta. The rest of the Mekong River tours do not compare on this or other sites.

This was the second tour we booked with this agency. We enjoyed the places included in their tour program. We were taken to a small village where we had the opportunity to observe and participate in the work of the local people, such as mat weaving and visiting a coconut factory. The highlight was the thrilling ride along the local roads. The food was ok.
