After retrieving your luggage, you will find your local guide waiting for you in the Arrival Hall of the airport, holding a welcome sign with your name on it. After a warm greeting, you will be taken to the hotel in a comfortable and air-conditioned vehicle and your guide will help you with the check-in.
Reed Flute Cave (Ludi Yan)
After a short break, drive you to the Reed Flute Cave. The stalactites, stalagmites, stone curtains, and flowers are all lifelike and, with various stories, it is honored as the Palace of the Nature Art.
Elephant Trunk Hill (Xiangbishan)
Then visit the city's emblem - the Elephant Trunk Hill. You will know why the hill gets such a name when you see it at the first glance. Don't forget to take photos in front of the giant 'elephant'.

Your guide and driver will pick you up from your hotel in the morning and then drive you to Zhujiang dock to board one of the best cruises on Li River. Your guide will escort you on a boat and give you introductions about the stunning landscape on both sides of Li River. Lunch will be offered on the cruise.
Yangshuo County
You will reach Yangshuo after around four hours' sailing. On arriving in Yangshuo, go on a countryside tour to see the breathtaking rural views of the county. You can bike all the way to and in the countryside to enjoy them to the fullest. Of course, if you don’t feel like biking, we can give you a private car ride. On the way, you also pay a visit to a local villager's home. Late into the afternoon, pedal again, or get on our car, to return to downtown Yangshuo.

This morning, 28 miles down the road to Guilin, we will turn to Xianggong Hill, a karst work on the west bank of the Li River, atop which you will savor a panoramic view of the Li River. It will be a 15-20 minutes’ moderate hike up to the top, as the hill is relatively short with an overall easy slope and stairway.

At the end of the tour, your private guide and driver will see you off at the airport or high speed train station for your plan to the next destination. If you need us to book tickets, please let us know and we will be very glad to do it for you.

5.00Alice provided excellent service guiding our group of 13 to the amazing sites of Guilin. She was very accommodating and flexible in adding stops and sites to our tour. Having a full private bus was a great touch. We would highly recommend her if you are in Guilin.

5.00This review is for the Guilin portion of an 11 day private tour through Marco Polo Tours. Highly recommend Arthur as your guide of Guilin. He has been doing this for a long time and still loves showing off his home town. He speaks English well, and is enthusiastic and courteous. Grateful for the early and frequent communication prior to meeting. He met us at airport very late in evening with excellent driver Mr Tree. They took us to hotel and Arthur checked us in and made sure we were good before saying good night. He picked us up early the next morning and we drove to cruise boat for 4 1/2 boat ride down Li River. It was abdolutely beautiful. We then drove back to Guilin through countryside for photo stops. The evening was to ourselves which perfectly aligned with Lantern Festival fireworks for many hours! The next day Arthur and Mr Tree picked us up late morning and headed to The Reed Flute Cave which was a natural wonder. We then were driven to train station to head to our next China destination. Arthur came through security with us to make sure we knew which gate our train would leave from. Thank you Arthur, you made Guilin visit great! Thank you Mr Tree.(Hope spelling close).
Beautiful winter in Guilin

5.00Being worried about the conditions of Gulin and Yangshuo in winter, we were more than pleasantly surprised. Even in January, the views are stunning, the landscape breathtaking and we were able to avoid the masses of tourists that come here during the season. Thanks to our Guide Tom Wu every need of ours was met and we've got to know a lot about the region. We will be happy to visit again!

5.00We had a fantastic time in Guilin and Yangshuo and our guide Tom Wu and our driver were great. We were met at the station, all be it with a little wait as there was a mixup with which station, so do double check! We saw all the sites in Guilin and Yangshuo and found it truly beautiful and a great rest stop on our extended 18 day trip. I asked about the local cuisine and Tom took us to a great local place for a hearty bowl of rice noodles! The next day Tom had some suggestions for tweaks to our itinerary to make it more relaxed, and surprised us with a trip to an ancient village and a wonderful restaurant. We really appreciated that! Travel China guide were happy for us to choose our own hotels, and the guide and driver were always on time and helped us with bags and everything. Overall we felt well looked after, learned lots of historical ands cultural information and appreciated having a local guide with great local knowledge. Thanks Tom!

5.00We are an Italian family. We reached Guilin and were picked up by Monica from Travel China Guide who firstly introduced us to Guilin town (we arrived the day of Mid Autumn Festival: with a joyful atmosphere and lights and singing people all around the city lakes). The following day Monica led us to a fantastic cruise along Li river and Guilin region mountains to Yangshuo. Landscapes are simply gorgeous there, and my camera was really hot when we reached Yangshuo, out final goal. In Yangshuo we caould then have a tour around countryside and visited a farmers' village. Monica booked for us a worth seeing open air night show on the history of that region, with 600 local people as actors performing on a lake as stage!! Monica was a great guide: extremely competent on each subject, precise, available, kind and very friendly. Her English is perfect, her support was great. Next time we will spend a couple of more days in Guilin/Yangshuo, as we realized many other nice spots can be discovered there.

5.00Guilin was part of a 22-day private tour of China, all arranged by Travel China Guide. Sally Si was our consultant and patiently worked with us to build an itinerary designed just for us. Sam was our guide in Shanghai, and we had made contact with him through the app WeChat prior to our arrival. We traveled from Hangzhou to Gulin by flight. It was delayed, but Sam and driver were waiting patiently at the airport. We really liked Sam, he’s quietly spoken and balanced very well when to talk to us explaining things, and when to give us time on our own to appreciate the scenery. We spent a lot of time in his care, and he put a lot of extra hours in to accomodate everything we wanted. He was totally committed on ensuring we had a great time. Without a guide we would certainly not been able to achieve all we did. We first visited the Reed Flute Cabe and Sam escorted us through. I had though this might be a bit cheesy - lights in a cave - but I was pleasantly surprised and enjoyed it, We then went to Elephant Trunk Hill. It was very crowded as it’s very famous in China. Not overly spectacular, to be honest. But we did climb the hill for the views. That evening we walked around the lake, and visited the Sun and Moon pagodas. Wow! The whole area is colourfully lit. It’s immaculately clean and tidy. Very impressive and alone is worth the trip to Guilin. We felt very safe and comfortable. The next day we went on the Ali river cruise, with Sam accompanying us and the driver taking the car ahead. You certainly felt like a tourist, with our boat being one of 5 travelling in a chain. However, you can see past it, and the boat had a top deck which we stayed up on for almost the entire cruise taking in truely spectacular scenery of the mountains range. Truely unique. At Yanshou we checked in and Sam took us out for a walk in the countryside. We interacted with a couple of friendly farmers, and visited one of the villages where Sam told us about how they lived, and how things were changing. The villages all seems friendly, creating us with smiles and certainly an element of curiosity. That night we went (escorted by Sam) to the Yangshuo Impression Sammie Liu, which is a show on a lake with the mountains all lit up in the background. The show has many actors, all locals. It was a good show, on an amazing backdrop. Unfortunately you have to be tolerant of hundreds of phones in the audience beginning held up recording and photographing - some with their torch on and flash activating. I struggled with it as I found it overly distracting. That night we toured the town, enjoying the atmosphere and great foods. There were certainly a lot of Chinese tourists there, notably younger ones. They rip around on electric scooters, and get dressed up for photographs in the scenery. The next day we visited Xingping Ancient Town. Sam lead us up the Laozhai Mountain hike, which I think is meant to be closed to visitors so we appreciated Sam doing it. He told us we were the first tourists he’d taken up there for years. It’s quite a step hike, but fine if you have some fitness. Just very hot! Bey the view from the top is absolutely fantastic. Something I will always remember. We thoroughly enjoyed our visits to Guilin and heading out to Yangzhou. It’s a must-do of China. Very unique and stunning scenery. We highly recommend Travel China Guide. It would have been very difficult without them. We fitted so much in, and everything was done for us. Sam was fantastic. We felt a little guilty about how much he did for us!
Amazing Time Spent in Yangshuo

5.00I went with my father to Yangshuo in May 2024. We cruised down the Li River, hiked up Xianggong Hill, Ruyi Peak, Moon Hill, and many other places. Our guide, Tom Wu, was incredibly knowledgeable about the area and showed us some viewpoints that would've been impossible to see without him. I hope to be back soon, and I hope to have Tom as my guide again!

5.00This is a great tour of a vastly under visited area of china by westerners. These are the scenes pictured on the big murals on the walls of American Chinese restaurants. I’ve always wanted to see them in person. Samantha was an excellent guide who made us feel right at home and went the extra mile for us plenty of times. She speaks very good English and knows the area because it’s actually her home town. The tour vehicle is a brand new very comfortable minivan supplied with plenty of bottled water. The pedestrian streets you will walk and dine on are electric to say the least!

5.00We had an amazing trip in Guilin. Everything was well organized and Lily as a guide was the perfect match. She knows Guilin and the beautiful places well, she is proud of her beautiful hometown and it was her target, to let us experience the nicest sides of Guilin. This ambition was great and made us having a great time. Thanks again and we are looking forward to coming back to Guilin and meeting Lily again. Nd thanks to Mr. Liu as well, who has a gentle and safe way of driving and a very friendly attitude.
