4.00The wine. The food platter was excellent. Slight difficulty locating the property. Our payment went to the previous owners, so we were not expected. The chef had Covid so we had no lunch. But overall it was good.

4.00As per most Sunday’s don’t usually plan on what we are doing or where we going, and contentious character was the selected place to go once we got in the car, they were more than happy to accomodate us, and show us the specials and have a chat with us, and of course the food and wine and most of all the scenery does not disappoint, as frequent visitors to contentious, the scenery and stuff it’s always a pleasure to see, and never gets old could literally stay there all day on a sunny Sunday afternoon or any afternoon for that matter. Oh yeah and did I mentioned the wine hahaha after all it’s a winery, of course it’s very delicious and with great flavours.
Fabulous service. Delicious wine and food.

5.00I just love the atmosphere and the service. The restaurant and wine tasting bar all face north and overlook an expanse of grapevines and the beautiful Wamboin area. The wines are just delicious. Tony our tasting guide took us though each wine and explained what it would taste like and why. A refreshingly unpretentious wine tasting! Thanks so much. We'll be back again
